What is your opinion about digital signature ? It seems that some companies that make their business through e-commerce misunderstood a little bit the way Digital Signature was ment to be used.

En allant vérifier une rumeur selon laquelle il existerait bel et bien une page de la Wikipedia consacrée à Hervé Schauer, je me suis rendu sur sa page personnelle, et y ai trouvé un lien fort sympathique.
Il s’agit d’une famille qui a décidé de faire le tour du monde… tout simplement ! Quelle aventure, ça fait rêver… Quand je pense que je ne prends qu’une semaine de vacances.

Tout a commencé lorsqu’en utilisant l’excellente suite bureautique OpenOffice j’ai tenté d’insérer un caractère spécial dans un document que je préparais… découvrant alors avec suprise que la police “Times New Roman” était scindée en plusieurs sous-groupes, comprenant des étrangetées telles que le U accent aigu-circonflêxe (ễ), le O accent circonflêxe-tilde (ỗ), le Y tilde (ỹ) , le O tilde-apostrophe (Ỡ), et même un symbole monétaire absolument inconnu pour ma part. Avant d’aller plus loin, ne vous inquiétez pas si vous avez sous vos yeux des valeurs étranges qui représentent ces caractères, j’y reviendrai plus bas…

Last march, there was an information that saddened most retro-engineers (aka reversers) and professional developers (at least those developing low-level software such as drivers) : After 20 years of existence, the famous Ring-0 debugger SoftIce had been discontinued.
Sad enough to remember that this was not only the best ring-0 debugger, but also the only one except the Kernel Debugger from Microsoft, that is far less friendly, and only runs under Windows.
Now, it seems that most kernel/drivers developpers have started to switch back to the Kernel Debugger. Being less convenient and unable to load all the excellent plugins that were developped during all those years by famous and good developers/reversers, it is really sad…
