Blog migration from DotClear 1.2 to Wordpress achieved…

1. downloading and copying Wordpress to the server : 3mn
2. logging into my provider’s admin page and creating the MySQL databae : 45sec
3. running the initial configuration setup : 30sec
4. downloading and installing the “flatfile export plugin” on the previous Dotclear : 2mn
5. exporting all the blog data to a text file: 3mn
6. downloading and installing the “flatfile import plugin” for Wordpress : 1mn 30s
7. importing the data to the new blog : 2mn (Never saw such a trivial and easy import : one click… no errors !!)
8. choosing a nice theme : 10mn
9. downloading and installing the new theme : 2mn
10. customizing options, experimenting new plugins, and so on : 40mn

All set in less than 1 hour…

I have never experienced a so trivial migration in my whole life before !

Then, 1h20 to manually migrate (eg. copy-and-paste the HTML code and tidy it up a bit) my static pages from Joomla to Wordpress. So I also got rid of Joomla
