After that horrible mess about PayPal loosing my money in transit, I finally got back my bucks on my Paypal account, and could realize what I wanted since… at least a year or two :
Donate to some great programmers (if they deserve it) !
If you’re a programmer, you know how much sweat and time it takes to develop a nice program, support and maintain it. I too have been a programmer long time ago, and I believe that even freeware programs, when they are useful and well written, can be supported by different means : contributing to the code or suggestions, translating the documentation, talking about it around and spreading the word, or more commonly donating some money to the developpers. It’s simple, and is much appreciated !
